Buffalo Wings: Crispy, Saucy and Delicious

Some like ‘em hot some like ‘em not. But the one thing we can all agree on is that they are tasty as f&%^. Out of all of my recipes this one might be my favorite, and also the most simple, of all. This rendition of buffalo wings packs right amount spice and creaminess that will have you salivating over them well before they’re even ready. On this week’s episode we make chicken wings two ways - traditional buffalo and a flavorful honey sriracha. Let’s get started.


 

Ingredients

Buffalo Wings

  • 10 jumbo chicken wings

  • 1 liter canola oil for frying

  • 12 oz (350 ml) Frank’s Red Hot Sauce

  • 3/4 stick (170 g) salted butter

Honey Sriracha Wings

  • 10 jumbo chicken wings

  • 5 oz (150 ml) ranch dressing

  • 1.5 oz (50 ml) honey

  • 1.5 (50 ml) sriracha

  • Chopped Chives for garnish

How to make Buffalo Chicken Wings at Home

Buffalo Chicken Wings Recipe:

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat.

  2. Once melted, add in Frank’s Red Hot.

  3. Pour the sauce into a jar for later.

  4. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to ensure that they are dry.

  5. In a large pot, pour in canola oil until its about halfway full.

  6. Heat the oil to 350° Fahrenheit or 176° Celsius.

  7. Add the chicken wings in to fry for 12-13 minutes until golden brown.

  8. Place cooked wings into a bowl and add buffalo sauce.

  9. Toss the wings until they are coated with sauce.

  10. Serve with blue cheese dressing and enjoy!

Honey Sriracha Chicken Wings Recipe:

  1. In a bowl, add sriracha, honey, and ranch and whisk together until homogenous.

  2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator until you’re ready to coat the wings.

  3. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to ensure that they are dry.

  4. In a large pot, pour in canola oil until its about halfway full.

  5. Heat the oil to 375° Fahrenheit or 190° Celsius.

  6. Add the chicken wings in to fry for 12-13 minutes until golden brown.

  7. Place cooked wings into a bowl and add buffalo sauce.

  8. Toss the wings until they are coated with sauce.

  9. Garnish with chopped chives.

  10. Serve with blue cheese dressing and enjoy!
